Teachers Sue Adamawa State Government Over 29 Months Unpaid Salaries

Teachers in Adamawa state have dragged the state government to court over unpaid salaries. The teachers, 659 of them, were recruited by Adamawa state Government in 2012 and have worked without pay for 29 months.

The teachers sued the Adamawa State Government as 1st respondent, Ministry of Education 2nd respondent, Post Primary School Management Board 3rd respondent and the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice as 4th respondent.

The teachers, through their Counsel, A.B Babakano, sought a declaration that their appointment was valid, lawful and not illegal, having worked for a period of 29 months.
They also sought a declaration that having worked for the defendants for the period of months were entitled to the payment of their salaries/wage, allowances and entitlements totalling N638,966,400.00.
A spokesperson for them also said they resorted to legal action after all efforts, including peaceful demonstration, to have government pay their salaries for the months they had worked failed.

While rubbing the inner tissues of her vagina, use your second hand to press down on one or more of her ducts from the outside. Ducts are scattered over the top of the vagina and are located from the clitoris to just above the ovaries, and they’re highly receptive. Simultaneously, tell her to contract her urethra muscle, massage the inside tissues of the urethra and apply pressure to her abdomen. This should cause a warm liquid to come out, perhaps in a steady stream or a jet stream. It is important to keep in mind that not all women seem to have the capability to ejaculate. Access Bank just introduced a new, slightly weird mode of recruitment; one that gives applicants only 10 minutes in a day (from 10 am to 10.10 am) over 30 days to apply on the site. As interesting and innovative that approach of recruitment is, it has its own shortcomings, one that has the capability of making a mess of the whole idea. It is like telling all the people living in Lekki - Ajah axis of Lagos, they have only 10 minutes in a day to use the Lekki - Epe express way, of course what you will achieve is a gridlock. Today, my prediction came to pass.

When I saw the advert yesterday when it started, my first question was, could their server withstand the expected traffic. Today's session brought the server on its knees and many job seekers could not gain access to the platform probably due to many people using the platform at the same time. The server could not withstand the traffic after all. It seems Access Bank under estimated the number of people that will be interested in this recruitment. May be as days go on, the traffic will wane or the server will be upgraded. Only time will tell.

Urhobo Group Justifies Blowing Up Of Oil Facilities

Militancy may be returning to the Niger Delta as aggrieved Urhobo militants under the aegis of Urhobo Gbagbako, who blew up oil facilities in Ihwrenen and Ejophe communities in Ughelli North and Ughelli South Local Government Areas, Delta State, justified their decision to be due to the marginalization and neglect of Urhobo nation by the outgoing administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.

“The Urhobo nation, as the fifth largest ethnic group in the country, has long been marginalized in the presidential amnesty programme and pipeline surveillance jobs and contracts. Even the Delta Steel Company, DSC, Aladja, that is supposed to be the only federal project in Urhoboland, has been grounded for years,” the group said in a statement by its National Chairman, Otega Obire.

He warned that the Urhobo hospitality, simplicity and maturity exhibited to ensure the smooth functioning of government at all levels, should not be mistaken for cowardice.

The group therefore told the incoming government to create a level playing ground for bidding and allocation of contracts in the oil pipeline surveillance with particular reference to the “Urhobos who are the major host communities of oil facilities and gas plants in line with the Local Content Act.”

It also called for the speedy resuscitation of DSC to reduce unemployment and restiveness in their domain, and by extension promote the economic fortunes of the people.
