INEC declares PDP Emmanuel Udom winner of Akwa Ibom gov. poll


The returning officer for Akwa Ibom state has declared PDP’s Udom Emmanuel the winner of the governorship poll in Akwaibom state. Mr Udom pulled a total of 996,071 votes to beat APC’s Umana Okon Umana who pulled 89,865. Meanwhile there was massive protest by the APC calling for cancellation of the election in the state. APC says the elections was marred with lots of irregularities.

All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagos Governorship candidate, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has emerged winner in the governorship election in Lagos beating his arch rival of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Jimi Agbaje as runner-up.

ENUGU – The Peoples Democratic Party,PDP,candidate in the April 11 governorship election,Mr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has won with 482,277 votes against his main challenger of the All Progressives Congress,APC,Okey Ezea who polled a mere 43,839 votes.

PDP Councilor Beaten To Death In Bauchi



The chairperson of Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Hassana Arkila, yesterday confirmed the death of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) councilor for Gizaki/Badagari Ward, Musa Daniel, who he said was beaten to death by irate youths while on electoral duty.


“I want to confirm the death of a PDP councilor who was beaten to death by irate youths. l am assuring the people of the state that the full wrath of law will catch up with the attackers,” she said.

However, Arkila appealed to the perpetrators of the act to sheath their sword and embrace peace. “The death of the councilor is a signal that the APC is afraid of losing the electoral process. I ask for calm among PDP supporters.”

Lagos: Ambode Leads Agbaje With Over 160,000 Votes


The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the governorship election in Lagos State Akinwumi Ambode is leading the candidate of the Peopel’s Democratic Party (PDP) with over 90 percent of votes collated across the state.


As it stands, Ambode has 724,114 votes, while Agbaje has 560, 453. View results compiled by Sahara Reporters.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is expected to announce the final results later today.
